On June 23rd, Open People Network has partnered with Toronto City Hall and is hosting our first #PitchItTO event at City Hall! OPN specializes in getting businesses ready to pitch in front of potential investors. PitchIt events run every few weeks and have been growing in popularity since OPN’s launch in October 2016. #PitchItTO City Hall is going to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to get real-time feedback from experienced advisors and make important connections.
Not looking to pitch? Come out and watch some captivating presentations, ask questions, and help expand the #PitchItTO community! There will also be allocated time just for networking and chatting with others in the field. It’ll be a great opportunity to make more connections and even strengthen your LinkedIn profile.
The first pitch of the night comes from Flow Water takes the stage. Flow provides drinking water that is sourced from a family-owned artesian spring in Bruce County, Ontario. Their water is naturally filtered and kept in a limestone aquifer. The limestone also adds calcium carbonate to the water which removes any traces of acidic impacts. The water is replenished by rainfall and is certified free of any harmful bacteria’s as well. There will be water provided by Flow at the event.
Next up, Curexe, a website for exchanging and transferring currency, will close the show. Curexe has already helped over 2000 companies save money by only charging a 1% fee for transactions. The company succeeds by offering a service that is both honest and trustworthy. Curexe is tired of hidden fees and wants to help companies run their businesses more efficiently.
Rover takes the stage. The innovative parking app allows users to choose from hundreds of parking spots throughout the city. It’s less than $2 an hour and takes away the stress of having to worry about getting a parking ticket. The app also allows users to rent out their own parking spots to potential drivers. Because, what’s the harm in making some extra bucks? They call themselves the “AirBnB” of parking for a reason. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple stores. Use OPN’s promocode, “PITCHIT” to get $10 off your next parking spot as well!
Next, Ji will be pitching their scheduling app which helps users meet up and go on dates. Unlike Tinder and Bumble, Ji is not a chatting app and thrives on helping people connect in the real world. The app plans to launch in the summer and revolutionize online dating.
